The muscles of our eyes change the shape of our eyes and the shape of our eye lens, so what we are looking at gets focused in the right place of the retina. The second image lacks a little finesse and it is caused by our out of shape eye muscles. Eye muscles need exercise as our other muscles in our body. If you don’t put a muscle to work, it weakens that particular muscle in time and the same applies to our eye muscles. If you do not put your eye muscles to work, they will eventually lose their strength.
Whenever your eye muscles get weaker they wouldn’t be able to pull up the eye and the lens of the eye to the right point to focus your vision. When our eye muscles are not able to focus on the right point in a shorter object, we end up with myopia which is also known as nearsightedness and if we are not able to focus on an object that is far, it is called Presbyopia which is also known as farsightedness.
Our eyes need some exercises like our body does if we keep practicing these exercises regularly our eyesight would definitely get better in time.

Practising these exercises for a period of time will yield amazing results and you’d not even believe the results. Stay motivated and practice them all as your daily routines.
Exercise 1: Blink your eyes
Blinking is an excellent way to relax your eyes, do not get to a conclusion that it doesn’t help. Blinking our eyes for a minute will lubricate them, clean them and gives a good break from the light. Do you know that lack of blinking will result in a poor vision? Lack of blinking results in dry eyes which will, therefore, result in poor eyesight.
You will need to ensure that you are not straining your eyes when practicing this exercise and this exercise will yield good results when performed between 30 and 60 seconds. For the people who work screens which requires a lot of attention will need to perform this exercise more frequent to avoid dry eyes.
Exercise 2: Rotate your head while starting ahead:
Rotating your head while starting ahead will increase the blood circulation in our eyes and improves vision.
Start this exercise by turning your head from left to right and from right to left while staring ahead then start the same by turning your head up and down and vice-versa. You may perform this exercise anytime between 30 and 60 seconds.
Exercise 3: Look to your right and left:
Put your head straight and start looking to your right slowly by inhaling, make sure that you are not straining your eye while performing this exercise. Look to the right as much as you can without straining your eyes. Now, perform the same exercise to your left. You can perform this exercise same as the other exercises between 30 and 60 seconds as per your convenience.
Remember to perform this exercise very slowly and patiently. Once you are done, close your eyes for a few seconds.
Exercise 4: Close your eyes and relax
This is one of the simplest exercises, close your eyes and relax. Ensure that your eyelids and light and think about the things that make you feel happy like a family outing, vacation, your kids anything that makes you feel happy and relaxed.
Exercise 5: Move your gaze in different directions
Start this exercise by looking to your right to left for 5 seconds and then look up and down. Once you are done, move your eyes in a circular motion for about 15 seconds.
You are doing great, now draw the figure eight with your eyes. I understand it is little difficult in the initial and practice makes it easier for you.
Exercise 6: Close and open your eyes
Close and open your eyes for 30 to 60 seconds, this exercise helps in relaxing the eye muscles and increases the blood circulation. Close your eyes tight for 3 to 5 seconds and open them in sets of 5-7.
Exercise 7: Push against your temples with your fingers
Push against your temples with your fingers for a period of 2 seconds in 4-5 sets. Ensure you do not put too much pressure on your temples.
Exercise 8: Draw geometric figures with your gaze
Relax your eyes and keeping your eyes open draw geometric figures such as triangle, square, circles and rectangles. Once you are done with the simple geometric figures, you can practice some complex ones.
Exercise 9: Move your eyeballs up and down
Close your eyes and in a relaxing position start moving your eyeballs up and down, keep doing it slowly in 5 sets.
Exercise 10: Strengthen your eye near and far focusing
Sit in a relaxed position and start focusing on an object which is 5 to 10 feet away for 15 seconds, you can also focus on your thumb in a distance of 5 feet. Once you are done with the near focusing start with far focusing by focusing on an object with is 10-20 feet away from you. You may need to spend the same 15 seconds on the far focusing object.
Practise this exercise 5 times by focusing on near and far objects.
Start practicing these ten exercises for a better eyesight and you may see some results in about 7 days. In over a month, you may not need your glasses to view objects/watch television/read a book.
